Jeannie Charolette Miller
December 20, 1961 - March 3, 2010

The Love Child of Ingeborg and Douglas Sexton. Jeannie was born in Frankfurt, Germany and ascended to heaven during the dawn of March 3, 2010 to help create an absolutely stunning spring day in Texas.
Jeannie was a member of the McCallum High School (Austin, TX) class of 1979. A free spirit who took off into her life at 16 years of age and found Larry Edward Bernard in Victoria, Texas in 1976. A love affair incurred and on April 3, 1981 Jeannie and Larry started a marriage that produced 3 beautiful ladies. Jennifer in 1982, Kimberly in 1985, and Emily in 1993, Larry proceeded her in death on July 13, 1993. She is survived by all 3 girls.
Tough times fell on Jeannie for the next several years. Raising an infant and two young children presented quite a challenge for a young mother. When Larry passed Jeannie had her soul mate in her back pocket. She met John at a party in her home in early 1987. Jeannie had John over for family dinners. He had no family in Austin. John obliged by watching, pets, helping with chores around Jeannie and Larry’s home. A few years after Larry’s death, Jeannie and John developed a friendship. That friendship blossomed into love that took them to the wedding alter on July 8, 2000. She is survived by John. Jeannie and John resided in Round Rock. Jeannie passed into the afterlife at Lighthouse Hospice in Round Rock.
Jeannie was a joy to be around. She worked at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Day School in Pflugerville, TX for many years. Then at various day care facilities and even had a day care in her own home. Jeannie held positions in the Round Rock School district including “Lunch Lady” and Crossing Guard. She ended her work carrier with the Round Rock School district in May of 2009 on the advice of her doctors. Jeannie and John loved to play. They picnicked with the girls, attended Broadway shows, ruckus rock concerts, church services, movies, cruises, and vacations all over North America. The last hurrah was in Beaver Creek, Colorado last summer. Even though Jeannie had to be pushed around in a wheelchair the family including Emily and her BFFL Jordan had quite the time. They enjoyed fine dining at Denny‘s. They also dined at 5 star restaurants on the Hyatt Resort. They took an exhilarating ski lift ride up the mountain that provided a lifetime of memories for the family.
Jeannie could cook up a storm, but would yield to John on Thanksgiving when John is head chef.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation in Jeannie’s name be made to Lighthouse Hospice of Georgetown, 2913 Williams Dr., Ste. 320, Georgetown, TX 78628.
A picnic in the park will be held to celebrate Jeannie’s life from noon until they run us out of the park, Saturday March 6, 2010 at Pfluger Park in Pflugerville, TX.
